Guest Expert

The first day will be led by remodeling production expert, Tim Faller, author of The Lead Carpenter Handbook and columnist for Remodeling magazine. Tim’s years of experience come to play as he works with company owners and production managers to fine tune their companies. His laid back style speaks to the production team and they can relate to his techniques easily because they know he’s been in the trenches, right where they are every day.

Tim focuses on increasing productivity and efficiency, building a strong understanding around the financials of the job and what actions can positively affect them, how to avoid glitches and bring the job home on time and on budget.

Tim knows his stuff as he developed a training seminar for Lead Carpenters that became the basis for the NARI Certified Lead Carpenter Program. He has spoken extensively at seminars and trade shows across the country and in Canada, including The Remodelers Show, JLCLive, local NARI and Remodelers Council meetings, and The Ontario Home Builders Association’s Builder and Renovators Forum. Tim is also a member of Remodelers Advantage ExpertNet, a network of industry experts sponsored by Remodelers Advantage, Inc. in Laurel, Maryland. In July of 2007, Tim and 3 others were asked to speak at the very first Remodelling Conference in Canberra, Australia, an event that was the forum for announcing the formation of a professional trade organization specifically for Remodellers in Australia (and, yes, that's how they spell it!).

Another awesome part of this meeting was the Hot Topics section where the Facilitator helped everyone in the room attack some very potent issues facing all of our companies. Paul Winans brings such knowledge, experience and wisdom to the table and this combined with his obvious concern and true desire to help made for an incredible learning experience. K.P.
