Taking a person from a lead to a client to a satisfied customer is what every remodeling company wants, and F.H. Perry Builders in Hopkinton, Mass., has a system in place to ensure that's exactly what happens. The company learns as much as it can about each client, finds out his or her needs, keeps in touch, and tracks the person from the start of the project through completion.
"We constantly do research to find out where they're at and what they want," says Allison Perry, product development coordinator for the company. "In the end, I can hand everything over to the product manager, and everything is ready."
Perry creates a file for each client and takes detailed notes during their conversations. By the time the client comes into the showroom for a one hour meeting, Perry already knows the client's wants, needs, and budget, which allows her to close the deal.
"The confidence at the signing of the contract is definitely higher," Perry said, pointing out that she turns over her file to the project manager, who can then ease into production. "Everyone knows the project, and everyone feels comfortable."
